(Happy?) Canada Day!

After an enjoyable afternoon spent out of town with family, it was time for the annual pilgrimage to the Canada Day fireworks, this year at Assiniboine Park. Since the Park is only a 10-minute bike ride away, cycling seemed to make sense.

That is until my rear tire decided to deflate entirely after going up a curb, less than half way there. So I half-walked, half-ran, pushing my bike while my brother rode alongside, and missed the first few minutes of the fireworks.



That's the bike. You can see the tire and tube hanging from the back wheel (right side in picture). Now I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.
