Ik ben naar Belgiƫ geweest...

I am recently returned from a whirlwind tour of Belgium, which my travelling companion, Adam, described as "like Holland, only moreso". Stops along the way included Antwerp, Brussels, Dinant, Gent and Brugge.

Money saving tip for travelling in Belgium: the Go Pass. Basically, if you are under 26 and you use the whole thing (or not, it is transferable), every train ride costs 4.30, which is a lot less than it would otherwise.

Hostels are also cheaper in Belgium than the other places I have travelled to (Prague excepted).

Cheap flights

If you are looking to find cheap airline tickets, particularly within Europe, WhichBudget.com is an excellent website.

Also, there's been a huge spike in traffic (relatively speaking, this is still a pretty unvisited corner of the Internet), mostly to a post I made 8 months ago. Strange.

A Tale of Two Forecasts

Current "home" (well, close to it) vs "real" home.

I know that both pages linked to are dynamic (their content will change depending on when you visit them). Still, while the first might seem nicer, it lacks the drama and suspense of a good Canadian forecast. Which is probably why I don't have 2 weather stations among my 50 or so cable channels here, as I would among a smaller set of channels in Canada.
